The Trizooka is a special weapon that can be used to defeat opponents from afar. Its splash radius is also useful.

Use

The Trizooka is used to attack opponents from afar. Its range and power makes it a threat to backliners or hiding opponents.

  • The Trizooka shoots three globs of ink, able to be shot anywhere.
    • If the globs of ink land directly on an opponent, they will be splatted instantly.
    • The globs of ink leave ink where they land, without leaving a trail.

Synergy

The Trizooka can leverage its range to attack enemies from afar, without getting too close to them. If the player jumps while shooting, they can also slightly extend the weapon's range. While using the Trizooka, players can still transform into swim form, allowing for quick repositioning. Keep in mind that players' swim speed while using the trizooka is decreased considerably, so using the special will make it harder to escape close up scenarios.

As of Version 3.0.0, the Trizooka deals 30% more damage to the Crab Tank. The Trizooka can be used to attack other specials; such as the Ultra Stamp, which are hard to attack head on.

Using Trizooka from high places is also useful, as it provides a larger field of view, and enemies can be spotted easier.

Trizooka's start up frames are quite low, so while risky and slightly inconsistent, using the special as a quick way to defeat close-up enemies could be worth-while. This should always be a last resort, as missing the shot could cause a larger special deficit.

Countermeasures

  • The Trizooka specializes in long ranged combat. Therefore, attacking a Trizooka user from up close can be helpful.
  • Because of the Trizooka's large size, the direction in which the Trizooka will shoot can easily be spotted, as the player will have to turn in that direction.
  • It may be a good idea to hide during a Trizooka's duration. Hiding behind objects provides temporary protection, though the player will still take splash damage if the Trizooka's globs hit the hiding spot.
    • As of Version 2.0.0, the sound of the Trizooka's start up was made significantly louder, making it easier to hear for enemies. This can be useful if the player chooses to hide from a Trizooka.
