Trivia

• This Splatfest happened near Valentine's Day, which is often celebrated by giving chocolates to loved ones.
• This was the second Splatfest in Splatoon 3 to have a food theme, with Spicy vs. Sweet vs. Sour being the first.
  • Some previous Splatoon 3 Splatfests have had food-themed options.
• As evidenced by the announcement dialogue, this Splatfest's theme seems to be a result of Team Sweet winning. However, the events of the Spicy vs. Sweet vs. Sour Splatfest were not originally referenced in the Japanese dialogue.
• The visual bug wherein Octolings appeared to have Inkling eyes and ears if they boarded a Splatfest Float persists from the last Splatfest event. This glitch was patched out in version 3.0.0.
• During Tricolor Battles, in the bar depicting turf percentages, Team Dark Chocolate's color was completely black, unlike the ink color. This was likely done to in order to look like the color of real-life dark chocolate, to match the colors of milk and white chocolate.
• This was the first Splatfest in Splatoon 3 to have entirely unique colors, featuring only one returning color being Blue.
