Handshake vs. Fist Bump vs. Hug was a Splatfest event exclusive to the Americas/Oceania, Europe and Hong Kong/South Korea regions in Splatoon 3. It was the third Splatfest to take place during Drizzle Season 2023. The event was announced on social networks on November 8 2023.

The Japan region exclusive Kaiten-yaki vs. Ōban-yaki vs. Imagawa-yaki Splatfest took place concurrently with this Splatfest.

Details

This was the first Splatfest in Splatoon 3 to differ by region: players who have selected the Americas/Oceania, Europe, or Hong Kong and South Korea regions were able to participate in this Splatfest as a combined group, whereas players who have selected the Japan region instead were able to participate in the Kaiten-yaki vs. Ōban-yaki vs. Imagawa-yaki Splatfest, which was held at the same time.

The Tricolor Turf War stage for this Splatfest was Manta Maria.

• The initial announcement of this Splatfest on the Splatoon NA Twitter featured an image with slightly altered wording compared to other English-language announcements for both the question and the name of Team Fist Bump (see 'Artwork' above). The in-game announcement for North America later featured the same wording as the prior Europe and Oceania announcements.
• Since this Splatfest did not occur in Japan, the related dialogue for Anarchy Splatcast was not available in Japanese. As a result, if the system language was set to Japanese, the Splatfest-specific dialogue would be displayed in English.
• This is currently the only Splatfest in Splatoon 3 exclusive to Western regions to share ink colors with the Japan region's concurrently-held Splatfest.
• With 18.45% of the popular vote, Team Handshake is currently the least popular team to ever win a Splatfest in both Splatoon 3 and in the entire series to date, beating out Team Barbarian's 23%.
