Ice

Ice is a rare type of terrain in Splatoon 3, appearing only in Return of the Mammalians.
Description
Ice is a slightly reflective ink-resistant surface; ink that hits it instantly dissolves away. Ice has low friction. When walking on it from a stop, it takes longer to accelerate, but momentum on it once moving is conserved for several seconds. In swim form, the delay to start or stop moving is reduced.
Use
Ice only appears in the hub area of Cryogenic Hopetown in Alterna. Because of the initial presence of Fuzzy Ooze, the ice serves as a minor hazard to navigate. Dash tracks around the ice allow the player to cross at higher speed once a path is clear.
