Inkipedia talk:Policy/Advertisement

From Inkipedia, the Splatoon wiki

So, just to be clear, is it allowed to:

  • Put links to your own accounts on other wikis in your profile page?
  • Put links to your own social media accounts in your profile page (without those profiles containing personal information, etc.)?
  • Put links to your own YouTube channel/website in your profile page? (With or without any of those being profitable?)

Yeah, that's all fine, plenty of admins have such links.  KA467 🗩 🖿  17:46, 8 April 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]
As above. I added a point clarifying this. Inkling luke.png Inkling talk.png 19:58, 8 April 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The advertisement policy only excludes the User namespace. Should it also exclude the Competitive namespace, where the author clearly has a vested interest in getting their tournament known? Personally I think given all other policies are followed (that is, notability, inappropriate content, personal info, and the rest of the advertisement policy - i.e. no spamming, relevant etc.), this should be allowed. Otherwise we would never have, say, LUTI staff, create/edit their own page. Slate Talk Contribs 08:51, 30 June 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
