Trivia
- Most of the rivals' decks follow a certain theme or contain Easter eggs:
- Shelly's deck is themed primarily around weapons, as with Sheldon's deck. All of the weapon cards in their deck are accompanied by their alternate kits, possibly referencing Shelly's twin Donny. It also features the SquidForce and Forge cards, two brands that are known for creating weapons.
- Annie's Amped Octostamp card may reference the large headphones she wore in Splatoon, which are absent from her Splatoon 3 design. Otherwise, her deck seems to lack a strong theme.
- Jelonzo's deck, like Murch's, features many cards with diagonal patterns, which synergize well with his own. The presence of multiple elongated cards may reference the ability of jellyfish to stretch out their tentacles.
- Fred Crumbs's deck is themed almost entirely around antagonists, primarily consisting of Octarian cards with a few Salmonid cards. He is the only Inkopolis native to not use the card of his Splatsville equivalent, Mr. Coco.
- Spyke's deck features many cards with weapons or enemies that are capable of splatting in one hit, such as the Dynamo Roller, Flipper-Flopper, and Kraken Royale, possibly reflecting his rough-and-tumble personality. It also features several brands, referencing his ability to order gear for the player.
- Flow mostly uses cards with diagonal spaces that synergize well with her own, like Squeezer, Foil Squeezer, and Ink Storm. Additionally, the Ink Storm is based on a sea hare, which is similar to Flow's species.
- Jelfonzo's deck is similar in theme to Jelonzo's and shares many of its cards, referencing how Jelfonzo is Jelonzo's son via asexual reproduction.
- Bisk's deck features many brands and cards with elongated shapes, alluding to his long legs. His Crab Tank card references the fact that he is a spider crab.
- Pearl's deck features many dualie-based cards in reference to her preferred weapon class. She lacks many cards with high space counts, possibly alluding to her diminutive size. Her Bamboozler 14 Mk I card is likely a reference to Cuttlefish's signature weapon, while her Killer Wail 5.1 card references the finales of both the Octo Expansion and Side Order.
- Marina's deck uses many brella-based cards in reference to her preferred weapon class, and a handful of Octarian cards in reference to her defection from the Octarian army. Her Suction Bomb and possibly Tenta Missiles cards reference Hyperbombs, one of her own inventions.
- Acht's deck is themed entirely around the Octo Expansion, and Side Order to a lesser degree. It includes a large number of Octarian cards, and the Captain's card in reference to their appearance as a boss in the Octo Expansion. Their Splattercolor Screen card may reference either Sanitized Octarians, Overlorder's "grayscaling" process, or both.
- Additionally, Pearl and Marina both have each other's cards in their deck, as well as the Pearl Drone's card. Pearl also has Cuttlefish's card, referencing the Octo Expansion, while Marina has Acht's card in reference to their history together. Acht uses both Pearl and Marina's cards as well as the Order Dualies, which features Eight.
