Lo-Vis Visor
The Lo-Vis Visor is headgear in Splatoon 3.
In Splatoon 3, it is a 0-, 1-, or 2-star item produced by Grizzco and comes with a random primary ability generated when it is received. It is only available as a reward from Salmon Run Next Wave as the monthly gear for October 2022 or in a Pink Capsule. It cannot be ordered through Murch.
Appearance
The Lo-Vis Visor resembles a pair of visor sunglasses made of metal. This pair of shades are not worn over the eyes, but on the player's forehead instead.

Abilities
The Lo-Vis Visor comes with a random primary ability that can also appear as secondary abilities, which prevents the wearer from having Comeback, Last-Ditch Effort, Opening Gambit, or Tenacity as they are exclusive to Headgear and cannot appear as secondary abilities. This primary ability is assigned randomly when the item is received. As a 2-star item, the Lo-Vis Visor comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Grizzco gear brand, it has equal chances to roll any secondary ability.

Trivia
- This visor resembles Doc Brown's visor from Back to the Future Part II.
- This is one of 3 pieces of Grizzco headgear that potentially resemble costumes seen in the Back to the Future series, the others being the Bream-Brim Cap and the Brain Strainer.
- The Lo-Vis Visor also somewhat resembles the visor seen on the player's avatar during their customization screen, though the resemblance is not exact.
Etymology
Lo-Vis is an abbreviation of "low visibility", referring to the fact that the visor is made of metal and would be impossible to see through if worn over the eyes.
