Checpoint 1

The beginning begins with one Inkfurler that must be shot. Going up the Inkfurler leads to a dash track that must be used to get onto a lone Inkfurler. Timing the dash jump with a bomb explosion to get onto the platform. Next the player has to use the piercing abilities of the Splat Charger to activate multiple Inkfurlers lined up underneath uninkable platform. Next, an Sanitized Octosniper must be combated to progress onto a wall of Inkfurlers and to the next platform and the second checkpoint.

Checkpoint 2

Next is a platform with another Octosniper and two Sanitized Twintacle Octotroopers. There is one Inkfurler and two vertical squares to use as cover. After the enemies are dispatched, Inkfurler can be shot. There are multiple Inkfurlers and Balloon Fish. A Balloon Fish must be shot to activate all the Inkfurlers. Once all the Inkfurlers are climbed, the Final checkpoint will have been reached.

Final checkpoint

To reach the goal, multiple Inkfurlers must be shot while timing a Dash track jump to reach the final platform. A dash track is on an uninkable block, and a bomb must be thrown on it to activate the farthest Inkfurler. Dropping down on the final Inkfurler will bring you to the goal.

C.Q. Cumber's Quotes

You should be able to hit multiple Inkfurlers at once with a fully charged shot.
If you see the end of an Inkfurler start to wiggle, that's a sign it will roll back soon.
Take care not to stand on the wiggly bits when that starts to happen.

Trivia

  • The title is a reference to slap bracelets, springy bracelets popular in the late eighties and early nineties, that roll up similar to Inkfurlers, which are the main mechanic of this mission.
  • The Dutch title of this station, "Zuinig toeteren", alludes to the Inkfurlers.
