Snaxolotl Hood
The Snaxolotl Hood is headgear in Splatoon 3.
It is a 2-star item produced by Z+F and comes with the primary ability Sub Power Up. It must first be unlocked through leveling up the Sizzle Season 2024 catalog to level 50, then it can be purchased from Naut Couture for 11,111. It can only be ordered from another player after being unlocked.
Appearance
The Snaxolotl Hood is solid black with a silver zipper that goes all the way around the edges of the hood. The outside features a pair of eyes and six leaf shapes that change color to match the wearer's ink, while the inside of the hood has a high collar that covers the wearer's chin. Both this collar and the inside of the hood are a darkened color that changes to match the opposing team's ink color.
As the name implies, the hood is designed to look like a creature with the wearer's head in its mouth, as if eating them. The leaf shapes on each side of the hood are likely meant to resemble an axolotl's external gills.
Splatoon 3
Abilities
The Snaxolotl Hood comes with Sub Power Up as the primary ability. As a 2-star item, the Snaxolotl Hood comes with three additional slots for secondary abilities. The star level may be increased with Super Sea Snails for 1 (first), 1 (second), 5 (third), 10 (fourth), or 20 (fifth) Super Sea Snails per star, or by purchasing additional copies of it from Naut Couture for 10,000 (first), 30,000 (second), 50,000 (third), 100,000 (fourth), or 200,000 (fifth) Cash per star. Increasing the star level beyond 2 stars will increase the gear experience gained by a cumulative 3.333…% up to 10% additional experience at 5-star level. Since it is made by the Z+F gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Special Saver and a lower chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up to fill its secondary ability slots.
