Splatoon 2 OST Selection
Release Unknown
Media Vinyl record (1 disc)

Splatoon 2 OST Selection is a 45 RPM vinyl phonograph record containing three Splatoon 2 songs by Wet Floor.

This record has not been officially released to the general public, but was said to have been distributed to the press.[1] One of the copies was given as a prize at Awesome Games Done Quick 2018,[2] and eight others as prizes through three different giveaways organized by the Splatoon France Twitter account in early 2019.[3][4][5]

The front cover uses a slighty zoomed-out version of the render used in the Splatune 2 cover, with the Splatoon 2 logo in the top right and "OST SELECTION" written on the bottom left. The back cover contains the Splatoon 2 logo, as well as a track list with runtimes and the RPM information.

The record includes a print with the album image of Wet Floor on one side and a track listing written in mimicry squid language on the other.[6] The style of the track listing appears similar in style to that seen in Sunken Scroll 15 from Splatoon 2, except that the last two track entries from the Sunken Scroll version are replaced with squid language mimicking Endolphin Surge.

Trivia

  • When promoting its first two giveaways of the record, the Splatoon France Twitter account used the cover of Splatune 2 rather than the one of Splatoon 2 OST Selection, while also labeling it as a Splatune 2 vinyl.[3][4] The correct cover and a more accurate descriptor were used for the third giveaway.[5]
    • The record is more accurately described as a Splatoon 2 vinyl, rather than a Splatune 2 vinyl, in the rules of the first two giveaways.[7][8]
