Splatoon Raiders is an upcoming Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive spin-off game of the Splatoon series. It was announced on 10 June 2025.
Release history
On 10 June 2025, Splatoon Raiders was announced via a trailer released on the Nintendo Today! app. The trailer additionally announced Splatoon 3's version 10.0.0 update.
Within the same day, the trailers were reposted to Nintendo's YouTube channels and other social media accounts.[2] Further information about the game's setting and characters was revealed via social media posts shortly after the trailer was posted.
Announcement trailer
The game's announcement trailer opens with a cinematic in which Deep Cut are riding a helicopter, presumably piloted by the mechanic, discussing chasing a lead by traveling to the Spirhalite Islands. A beam of light suddenly emanates from the center of a vortex over the islands, causing a violent cyclone to form and down the helicopter.
Miscellaneous footage of unknown locations is shown. Deep Cut are seen wearing alternate, worn-down outfits aboard a ship-like structure; this is the mechanic's base.[3] Shiver is seen fishing, Frye is seeing fidgeting with scraps and stretching, while Big Man is seeing getting shot at with ink by the mechanic. The mechanic is then shown exploring an island area alongside an unknown quadrupedal robot.
Deep Cut are afterwards shown in their standard idol outfits emerging from a wreckage and looking towards the cyclone; the game's title is revealed, then an ominous sound plays as a large, unknown eyeball opens.
The trailer focuses on cinematics and overhead shots of locations; it contains no gameplay footage demonstrating the game's features or modes past that the mechanic wields a makeshift weapon and can swim in ink.
Description
The game takes place in a new location in the Splatoon world, the Spirhalite Islands. Players control the mechanic, who is adventuring alongside Deep Cut.[2]
