Access

The player must clear either E05 Hypercolor Station or G10E07 Iceman Station to access this test. The shortest way to access this station is to clear G10E07 Iceman Station.

Walkthrough

Overview

The main objective is to use a cannon to hit four 8-balls into holes, trying to get a three in a row. For the entire duration of the station, Agent 8 has no weapon. Instead, they use an Ink Cannon to move the 8-balls.

English

OE Icon CQ Cumber.png C.Q. Cumber's Quotes

Please score a bingo for me.
A bingo means three 8-balls lined up vertically, horizontally, or diagonally.
Once a ball falls into a hole, the next one will appear—you'll get four balls to use.
You didn't make a bingo—test failed.
You let an 8-ball fall—test failed.

Ahoy—there's the next ball!
I like the looks of this!

OE Icon Marina.png Marina's Quotes

Vertical, horizontal, or diagonal... Which should we try for?
It looks like getting a ball into a hole makes the next ball appear.
This is the fourth and final ball. It's all riding on this one!

OE Icon Pearl.png Pearl's Quotes

Looks like you can use that ink cannon to send the balls flying!
That's almost a bingo!

Trivia

  • The title is a reference to Sir Mix-a-Lot's album Swass, more commonly known for his song, Baby Got Back and the subtitle is one of the possible results on a Magic 8-Ball.
  • Swass-8 Ball Station was revealed before the Octo Expansion was released.
  • This station has "Chikyu Goma" gyroscopes floating around in the background. These Japanese toy gyroscopes were produced since 1921.
  • The Dutch title of this station, "Bingo, kanon en eieren", is a reference to the game "Boter, Kaas en Eieren" (tic-tac-toe, lit.: Butter, Cheese and Eggs).

Translation notes

  1. Otoshidama (お年玉) is normally a small gift given to kids in a Japanese New Year, but here it can also be read as "falling balls" (落とし玉 otoshi dama).
  2. "アケオーメ・コト要路" is a pun on "あけおめことよろ" (akeomekotoyoro), a Japanese New Year greeting.
  3. A reference to the Russian poem "The Tale of the Princess Swan" by Alexander Pushkin that starts with "Three girls under the window...".
