Should we add that the name may be a reference to Spamton from Deltarune?

In fairness, it also can be used as a term to mean "someone in a position of power", or one that literally fires large shots, both of which seem to apply here. So likely a coincidence, I'd guess! GloverMist (talk) 12:23, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

Siding more on the coincidence side, but Toby Fox has recently worked with Nintendo on getting Deltarune on the Switch, and with the Pokémon Sword and Shield, and Scarlet and Violet teams. I don't think it's out of the realms of possibility that someone on the Splatoon team was inspired haha Slate Talk Contribs 12:30, 17 August 2022 (UTC)

Spawning Mechanics

The Big Shot appears to only spawn in certain locations on each map and only seems to be able to spawn in one spot per wave, as it seems to, when appearing, only appear where a previous Big Shot had spawned.
