Really? Is there any slight reference in the game that could hint at this? KingAwesome467 (talk) 16:03, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, I don't see anything. - AlreadySplatted 16:05, 23 November 2018 (UTC)
Before the release of octo expansion
I always wondered this but what did the entrance of the deep sea metro look like before the octo expansion? Maybe we could put a photo of it in the gallery?I can't find any photos of it online though,=:>Fancy squidC:= (talk) 20:43, 16 March 2021 (UTC)
"Despite the fact that knowledge of the event only had spread orally, the rave received 60 billion participants"

Another fact for the Trivia, now about design of the trainset
Hello! Here is another fact for the trivia: the front cab of the metrowagon looks VERY similar to the Soviet/Russian metrowagon's of 81-717/714 model (especially the 81-717.5M/81-714.5M modification manufactured by the Metrovagonmash factory since 1976 and lots of their modifications were still in use in many Russian citires, in Poland, in Belarus, in Ukraine, in Hungary, in Czech, etc. When I played the game I wondered: what the cat so familiar metrowagon is? And now I am curious, are Moscow's metrowagons were also being used as a source of inspiration while designed the thing? What do you think about that?

- Fascinating find! I've added this to the page's trivia section.
- I'm not sure on the general inspiration for the trains seen through-out the series; if you're interested in identifying more trains, Inkopolis Plaza and Lemuria Hub feature some (unfortunately I don't think we have any photos on the wiki). Yoshifan52 (talk) 03:58, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- I am fan of railways, and I oftely learn about various trains including various foreign.
- - About the metrotrain I mentioned initially (I made a picture that compares two cab fronts), the only cab's face is very similar, other parts of the train itself looks more like more Japanese or American. I do know 81-717/81-714 trainsets very well since my childhood, and it's impossible for me to confuse. Actually, these trains had the inter-wagon door being always-closed and used by employee only (otherwise a high risk to fall down between wagons). This case has been solved by new serie of trainsets "Moskwa" that has the free passthrough between all wagons of the trainset, similar to these at multi-section buses.
- - The train that appears at the intro of Splatoon 3, gave me an idea that it's one of Japanese diesel trainsets, however, when I attempted to search via at least two search engines the front of the locomotive, I found the most similar is the historical Soviet ВЛ8 electric locomotive (they are freight locomotives of this serie that basically pulls heavy and long freight trains opposed to ЧС electric locomotives that mainly used in passengeer trains). However, in the game itself it's supposed to be a commuter train that inside looks like a metrotrain (seats places at walls of the railwagon).
- - About the Inkopolis Plaza I has thinking about what the trainset is goes, and first in my mind that I should check among Japanese trainsets for that. Anyway, just now I found the 3D model that represents Inkopolis Plaza's trainset, and therefore I can tell this looks VERY similar to trainsets in the Tokyo, and as I found, it's the JR東日本E231系電車, but I am not fully sure, just an attempt to guess.
- - About the Lemuria Hub, I already see the mention that trainset is based on the 国鉄201系電車.
