"without skipping the final level." I skipped the final level, and I still got the locker opened! Can someone fix this? - SquidIcon.png AlreadySplatted Golden Toothpick (Talk)

Hmm...I don't have OE, but I thought that you couldn't skip the last level to unlock IA3, but I could be wrong. Are you sure you skipped the level the page was talking about? --Su ndaeSquidS Weapon Main Octobrush.pngTalk 17:32, 29 December 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Umm... let me review the video footage of me playing the whole Octo Expansion… Yep! there it is! I skipped it and still have the Golden Toothpick right now. Maybe you have to beat at least one of the escape phases (which I did) to open it as well as beating all 80 levels (which I also did!) to open it? - SquidIcon.png AlreadySplatted Golden Toothpick (Talk)

Huh, well if that's the case I would assume you're allowed to just change it, but I'm not sure. --SundaeSquidS Weapon Main Octobrush.pngTalk 18:41, 13 January 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Should we add strategies on how to beat the phases with the description? The reader might not be able to find a way to defeat Inner Agent 3 themselves, and they might not be able to watch YouTube to get advice. It was super hard to do it all myself and make strategies of my own to defeat him. I just got the Golden Toothpick last Sunday, and I worked more than a month on it. (inkluding weekdays) The reader might not have that much time though. User:Octo1 TalkOcto1 (talk) 19:55, 21 October 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Can you please add a picture when the player gets splatted?Squid dummy98 (talk) 01:10, 13 September 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Should I put this in?

I read somewhere that Inner Agent 3 scales to your ability as a player, meaning that you're literally fighting yourself. I've also experienced this first-hand, as I (used to) battle Inner agent 3 constantly to make sure I was on my game before I played, and I noticed that the fight always varied in difficulty each time I played. Should I put this in, or should I do some more reasearch first? WoomyMcBoomyWoomy.png 17:37, 8 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I thought the consensus was that IA3 is one difficulty: HARD. But you seem to be saying that IA3 is sometimes easier or harder. What, specifically, leads you to believe this? Can you prove that IA3 has skill-based difficulty scaling? Heddy (talk) 01:18, 9 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I don't have much proof, but I do have first hand experience and math. I did some math a while back regarding the number of times I beat inner agent 3, and I came to the conclusion that my win rate against her is about 54%, implying that the AI does scale to your ability. I also noticed that when I played on someone else's save file, it was quite easier to beat inner agent 3 then it was playing on my save. After a while playing on the other person's save, the fight got progressively harder each time I did it. This can also explain why some think inner agent 3 is easy at first, while some think it's hard at first. I'll do some more reasearch, but so far this is the conclusion that I've come to. Inkipedia is not a place for opinions or original research with no outside backing, but there is a valid and respectable way to get around that. As a general rule, wiki articles should not contain original research, and should instead cite other sources. This means that in order for you to add your findings to this page, the best practice is to write your findings elsewhere, like on a blog or on Twitter or Tumblr or something. Then, you can add information to the wiki page and cite your blog/twitter/tumblr post as the source of the information. If you wrote your claims here without any outside source as support, many people would be inclined to undo your edit because it's hard to believe without outside sources to back it up. My advice is to make a post elsewhere with as much detail about your experiences and math as possible, then summarize that information on Inkipedia. I actually first read about this on reddit, but I didn't think reddit was a reliable source for the info I wanted to put down. So can I cite from reddit? WoomyMcBoomyWoomy.png 20:51, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Sure. Reddit is equally unreliable as any place where random people post opinions, but without official confirmation from Splatoon's developers, random opinions on Reddit are sometimes all we have. It would still be best if you posted your own findings somewhere, because multiple sources are better than one. Heddy (talk) 19:05, 13 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

When I fought Inner Agent 3, she had the sanitized ink color and the thing on her head. Can anyone explain this? And I double checked that it was really inner agent 3.

That was just normal Agent 3 in the Spinal Phase. Inner Agent 3 is the one that doesn't have any goo on her head ChessMaster [TALK] 02:07, 9 August 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Colour-lock causes Inner Agent 3 to turn sanitized ink colour, and for Agent 8 to turn a pink colour. Screenshot of Inner Agent 3 with colour lock on. It's the same colour as the rest of the colour-locked Octo Expansion.
Turning on and off colour-lock should fix it! (That is, if you want it fixed. It looks pretty nice imo) Mechanic (talk) 00:07, 7 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
