Colons

Ok I need to say it. CAN WE PLEASE USE COLONS WHEN CALLING IT "Salmon Run: Next Wave". Yes, I know I'm being grammar police but please can we correct this Timewip2020 (talk) 01:59, 12 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

This is the punctuation that both Nintendo of America and Nintendo of Europe use when referring to this mode, so it's likely not within our interest to insert the colons ourselves. StarAdamStar (talk) 10:57, 12 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think they can't do it because-surprise-technical restrictions!!! I have seen a couple occasions where they had to leave out a special character. For one, the page for the Octo Expansion music #8 regret is titled 8 regret instead. Wgreiving! (talk) 15:10, 27 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No, we're listing the page name without a colon because, as StarAdamStar said, both English localisations officially name it like that. It's weird and looks a bit strange but we have to follow what they say! GloverMist (talk) 15:59, 27 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I will point out that colons are often used to separate a multi-line title, when the title needs to be written on one line. Not using colons implies that the title is single-line when it isn't.
Salmon Run
Next Wave
is correct but doesn't work in a wiki,
Salmon Run Next Wave
is incorrect and misleading since it implies the entire title is one thought, and
Salmon Run: Next Wave
is still incorrect, but isn't as misleading.
Since we can't use the multi-line version in the wiki, I think the colon version is the best bet. Silverbrick (talk) 08:02, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Also we could add clarification at the start of the article, like:
"Salmon Run: Next Wave (stylised as:
Salmon Run
Next Wave
in promotional media) is… Silverbrick (talk) 08:09, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Is it just me?

Do any of you think that the BIG Salmonoid is going to be a special wave? like the Mothership, or Fog? Mooone (talk) 13:23, 10 March 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I was thinking..

Can we make the confirmed weapons into a table? I'll have more than enough time on my hands to do so, I just wanna make sure its all good. Builderbosc (talk) 09:13, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Significance of Salmometer

"The likelihood of this occurring increases with every run, which can be seen with the Salmometer, a King Salmonid-shaped meter appearing below the player's rank bar"

As far as I know the Salmometer doesn't actually increase the likelihoos of encountering an extra wave, but guarantees it if the meter is full for any of the 4 players. Meta (talk) 15:57, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Opps, my bad. I'll correct it. Builderbosc (talk) 05:49, 24 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
The meter being full does not guarantee that a King Salmonid will spawn, I have had my meter full for several shifts before a King Salmonid spawned. EminenceTalk 12:11, 4 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Big Run

I know that this page is not Big run,but should we add Big Runs could happen? ~~Splat.girl~~ Splat.girl (talk) 15:59, 9 October 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

When Big Run comes, we can add a new section. Right now looks like someone already added in the final paragraph of Description. Hadaasharpedo (talk) 21:26, 10 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Unnecessary navbox

In the big run stages, the template includes the s3 modes navbox that is not needed since it's already at the bottom. If I try to delete the navbox, the stage table will be deleted along with it. Can someone fix this? Thanks OrderSquid38 New Squid.jpg OrderSquid38 [Talk] 01:31, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Adding a new section underneath the stages table on the Big Run page fixed it. Unsure why the lack of another section below that caused this. Should be fixed now :) Yoshifan52 (talk) 10:42, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Oops, realized I just said the same thing twice. Oh well Yoshifan52 (talk) 10:44, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Deep Sinker

There is an unreleased head gear called, "Deep Sinker Helm." Should we add it to the headgear list?

SplatGuy2 (talk) 18:54, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

They will be on the list once they are out/available. Being in the games files does not count as long as they can't be obtained ingame.   Perfectionist   (talk) 19:01, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok, thanks! SplatGuy2 (talk) 19:06, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
But, should we link it on somewhere to not make it a orphan page? SplatGuy2 (talk) 19:07, 13 December 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New King Salmonids based on the stickers?

Since someone posted something about the New King Salmonids being based on stickers, so I thought: Does that apply to the other stickers? 10,008 (talk) 06:43, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Concepts: RolyPoly, Whirlpool, XL Salmon. 10,008 (talk) 06:47, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
It's possible, but that would just be speculation at this point (not appropriate for the wiki). Lyichir (talk) 16:15, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What is a "Milestone"?

Within the Rewards section, some of the table state that certain rewards are only purchasable after certain milestones, but nowhere in the page does it state what those milestones are. Does anyone even know what is needed to be done to pass a certain "milestone"? Danii (talk) 03:04, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Doesn't it say under the Shop subheading? "The first set of unlockable items requires spending at least (Bronze scale) 100 and (Silver scale) 10 to unlock, while the rest of the items requires spending at least a total of (Bronze scale) 350, (Silver scale) 40, and (Gold scale) 4." (please excuse my copypaste not having the appropriate icons used in the actual article >_>) Pringlesfan2002 (talk) 05:23, 4 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Search Problems

I don't know why, but when I type Salmon Run Next Wave it doesn't show up as a result. When I hit enter to go to the page, it works just like normal. Has anyone else experienced this?

Sincerely

-Cuttlfish59 (talk) 01:55, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Are you typing it in lowercase? I just tried that and it does the same thing. It's because the search only shows results where the case is the same. A lot of other pages have redirects with the name of the page in lowercase, so one should probably be made for this page as well.  GX_64 (talk)  02:24, 27 October 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay. I will make a redirect with just lowercase. Thanks for the help! Cuttlfish59 (talk) 17:41, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I already see one. Did you make it? Cuttlfish59 (talk) 17:42, 2 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Yes. I made this one Salmon run next wave.  GX_64 (talk)  00:25, 3 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks. Cuttlfish59 (talk) 17:10, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

What is "pay grades" (CoopGrade) in Names in other languages?

Looking at the existing languages, particularly in the Meaning column, I have a feeling that we're not on the same page as to what it actually refers to and WHERE we should look. It's not the "Pay Grade" in the results like in this screenshot file, is it? File:PayGradeTranslationQuestion.jpg Hadaasharpedo (talk) 18:08, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I believe it is referring to the "Pay Grade" as in contexts like the message "Pay Grade Retained", or the section "1.2.0 Pay Grade" from the manual (check https://leanny.github.io/splat3/manuals.html). The label in your screenshot refers to the score multiplier from the player's Pay Grade, as listed in the table under Salmon Run Next Wave#Job title, so not exactly what it is looking for. Cite Error in Reference #24?

Right now Reference #24 says "Cite error: Invalid <ref> tag; no text was provided for refs named toplist", but it seems to be from the embedded Badges page for Eggstra Work, and that page didn't have a problem. I don't know how to fix it and I'm afraid to break anything. Hadaasharpedo (talk) 18:13, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It's been fixed. Harimaron (talk) 21:47, 21 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
