About the table

Uh, I had a bit of trouble reading the table on this page and the Sub Weapon page. The two colors look pretty similar, and I found that a problem. Can we change it. (And yes, I know I should find somewhere more fitting to post this, but I couldn't find anywhere good, so this is where I picked.) --Poyo Ride (talk) 00:06, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You picked the appropriate place. I've changed the colors to something easier on the eyes. Also you might want to look into red-green colorblindness if you found the colors to be particularly similar as they are on opposite sides of the color wheel (although when viewed through a color blindness 'simulator' they are nearly identical). --sunmarsh (talk) 00:46, 8 July 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New main picture

The main picture showcasing three Splatoon 1 special weapons is, like, really outdated now. I'm not able at the moment to upload files, so could someone else maybe add an appropriate, up-to-date special weapon showcase pic? Thanks! Splattersky (talk) 03:20, 13 March 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Inkjet and Zipcaster stuff

I saw some minor edit warring going on about Inkjet's inclusion in the game, and I think it's in. The landing icons are different between the 2 specials. Colorized (talk) 00:07, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

The reason is that the devs are using Inkjet's landing marker as a placeholder for the new Zipcaster special. P.J. GT (talk) 00:12, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I provided screenshots to prove that was not the case. Colorized (talk) 00:36, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
In the trailer when second screenshot was taken (33.8 or there-about), the yellow team players with the Undercover Brella, the Glooga Dualies, and the unamed bow are visible and not using any special. Which leaves the Splash-o-matic, and we know their special is the Zipcaster. So I think that the Inkjet landing marker was misused here and should have been the Zipcaster's. Yep, verified that. I've edited the tick out of inkjet for Splatoon 3. AcingGames (talk) 13:56, 29 September 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
PLEASE DO NOT EDIT IT. AcingGames (talk) 14:41, 4 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay I think an outright confirmation in the Splat 3 Direct is enough for that tick to be added back in so I went ahead and did that. I'm new to editing Inkipedia, so if I've done something wrong procedurally just let me know. LoneSwordsman (talk) 14:47, 10 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Tenta Missiles

Farily sure the Tenta Missiles seen in the initial trailer are a leftover from s2, they're the only special not present in the newer trailer and the only special to not have an official announcement, so I don't see why it's "confirmed" for 3 when there's been not been any kind of recognition from the developers. NZZN (talk) 16:35, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Although not explicitly confirmed, the Tenta Missile projectiles can be seen in a promotional image from news of the first trailer, in the OLED trailer: marks on the ground followed by projectiles, and in the third trailer during a Super Jump. Nintendo probably didn't mention it as we haven't seen many renovations in that special compared to the other ones and will likely want the focus to be on the new discoveries. It's a simple checkmark, it doesn't mean the special is confirmed but rather it was seen during the trailers of the Splatoon 3 footage. Shahar (talk) 23:42, 3 November 2021 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Splashdown in Splatoon 3?

We saw the splashdown in the direct! BUUUUUT if I remember correctly it was only seen in single player footage and wasn't mentioned or seen at all for multiplayer. If it ends up only being used in single player and isnt added to any weapon kits, would it be reasonable to mark it differently than a green tick? Just something to signify "yep, its in the game! But not in the same way as all the others." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hario337 (talkcontribs)

First of all, make sure to sign your comment with four tildes, and to answer your question, it still counts as being in the game. OrderSquid38 (talk) 13:40, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Oops, sorry about that, I'll try to remember, and also fair enough! I just think it might be a good thing to avoid confusion. (Hopefully this properly signs and I haven't completely misunderstood) ~~~~ Hario337 (talk) 13:44, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I agree with @Hario337, it'd be much better to colour it yellow or something, as it's really confusing at the moment. Meta (talk) 12:48, 20 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Why is the Rainmaker listed on this page? I don't remember any official source indicating it's a special weapon, and it's functionally completely different to one. I feel like it doesn't really fit into any weapon categories (main, sub, or special). For that matter, the Princess Cannon should probably be excluded as well.
