Banners

Banners seem to be the name of the background for splat tags, a page that needs to be made. Migrating this page to become that one and writing a new one for the banner portion specifically is in my opinion the best course of action. Talons235 (talk) 17:28, 11 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Multilingual Splashtag titles

I updated the page with all the Splashtag titles seen in the World Premiere Splatfest/demo, and also wrote them out here: https://github.com/frozenpandaman/s3s/wiki/splashtags That page also has all the Japanese titles – if someone could add those in, that'd be great! I can provide romanization and translations later. What's weird is that out of all the first part & second parts of titles, 27 each in language, there doesn't seem to be a 1–1 correspondence. But for the ones that don't correspond, they do often match up translation-wise with other titles that have been revealed in trailers, etc. So the table on that page has my best guesses for which will match up with each other, but the Splatfest itself should confirm – but, still, it's weird that it seems there are few language-exclusive options each, e.g. there is no way to be an "アルバイター" (Part-Timer) if playing the demo in English, and no way to be a "Maestro" or "Paradigm" (or whatever their translations might be) if playing in Japanese, which is odd.

Eventually, I think we should merge all of these into a large, sortable table – or, actually two tables, one for first parts and one for second parts – with columns for the different languages (English first, using this for the default sorting order) and rows for all the different titles, and this way they'll be fully listed for all languages. –Eli (talk) 05:53, 26 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks to User:Perfectionist for creating the big tables! Based on the datamined strings from the demo, I've now populated the English & Japanese columns with all the matched-up title translations – just for the first word so far. I'll fill in, transliterate, and translate all the second words tomorrow. –Eli (talk) 06:47, 1 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Renaming first and second part to adjective and noun

I had an idea when I was looking at this page, but I just want to check that it works with other languages first. I thought that "First part" and "Second part" could be replaced with "Adjective" and "Noun" or something similar, especially since they are swapped in French and Italian. I am not sure if this works for languages other than English though.  GX_64 (talk)  11:45, 3 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Add gallery

Should we add a gallery for main weapon badges, if we add them to the main page it might become to clutteredBesnhasthefun (talk) 13:12, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Fresh Season prep

We should probably add the new badges for reaching certain levels, as well as the Callie and Marie banner that seems new. Arivaki-Kun S2 Gear Headgear Golden Toothpick.png JPTGoldDynamoRoller.png S3 Badge Classic Squiffer 5.png (banter) 18:07, 28 February 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
