Stop Guys

Delibird, Xand, discussion pages exist for a reason, use them instead of mindlessly reverting. Besnhasthefun 12:09, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I was going to and will now. This video shows the reason for my removal: Miss Delibirda (talk) 12:24, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Can you explain, I don't wanna watch a youtube video when I could TALK on a TALK page y'know

Very well. While it is possible that there were players that chose Octopus to play as Octolings, it isn't possible to prove it had a significant impact on the result, and it therefore must not be suggested. If something is claimed, it is no one's responsibility to try to disprove the claim, but the claimer's to provide evidence. That is called the burden of proof. Ok, I see your point. I apologize if I came off as rude in my previous messages. I honestly think I was. Maybe instead of what we have it could be (could have been skewed) instead of probably skewed. Again, apologies. Xandpochondria 13:37, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Apology accepted. However, according to the trivia policy, trivia points must be true and verified, so it has to go. Miss Delibirda (talk) 14:25, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Got it! Sorry for the confusion. Thanks so much! Xandpochondria 15:39, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
"While many Splatfest results were influenced by the demographics of players that would fall into each team, the Squid vs. Octopus Splatfest is the only one that skewed the results with in-game incentives. Players in team Octopus were allowed to play as an Octoling automatically; this gave an incentive for those who had not purchased
Octo Expansion
to join the team."
This is pretty much all demonstrably true. The only thing not 100% verified is that it skewed the results, and even then I remember a lot of talk about Octo having more players because everyone wanted to play as an Octoling, which could probably be dug up. Even if not, it could just be changed to something like "the only one that potentially skewed the results". I think there's too much good info to just trash it entirely. Also apologies for just reverting, I forgot to check the talk page and I'm kinda attached since I made the original edit ^^' Silverbrick (talk) 06:16, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If it's not 100% verified, it's doesn't go on trivia. The talk you are, uh...talking about isn't good evidence, it's just people making guesses. Miss Delibirda (talk) 08:43, 6 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Intro dialogue issues.

Many duplicates of the same lines are in the intro, sometimes reworded yet following the same meaning. Needed to verify before getting rid of it myself. Thanks! Splatcha later! -pixil (talk!/stuff done.) 20:27, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

To be clear: do not get rid of those "duplicates", as they are reflecting which English localization (North America or Europe) they originate from. The localization of origin for each line can be seen in the rightmost column of the quotes table. Driftin Soul [Talk!] 20:48, 8 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
i actually didn't notice that. Sorry!h
