Tableturf Battle stats

I've gone through the entire clip of Tableturf Battle and documented all the info within. This is mostly stats. I know it may be a bit early for that, but I'm not planning to be a editor for this wiki. Just passing along the info. https://imgur.com/a/EaLDTmD --Eldritchdraaks (talk) 06:34, 11 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Since it's no longer needed, I deleted my album. Eldritchdraaks (talk) 14:28, 21 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Rules

I made a list of apparent rules and some other observations here. Would it be premature to add these to the wiki page? Gomtuu (talk) 20:30, 12 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Probably best to leave out anything speculated on at this time, and only include things that are confirmed. Eldritchdraaks (talk) 22:31, 12 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Baby Jelly claim

Just adding an explanation for the baby jelly claim: The beginning of the Direct segment about Tableturf Battle shows that the player is playing against someone named "Baby Jelly" on Main Street. I'm guessing Baby Jelly is an NPC for a few reasons:

  • Baby Jelly's Splashtag doesn't have a title or a player number.
  • The placement of the baby jelly image on the Splashtag doesn't match the placement of Splashtag badges we've seen.
  • Baby Jelly's Japanese name is しょしんしゃクラゲ (shoshinsha kurage), which means "beginner jellyfish", suggesting that this is a tutorial or one of your first opponents.
  • The location of the battle is "Main Street" rather than "Lobby" or something similar.

List of rivals?

I see that User:Lapsem has been adding the rivals' deck lists (in a comment). That's great! But it made me wonder if there should be a separate page for rivals. There's a fair amount of information we could collect about each one, such as the required rank, deck list, card sleeve image, quotes, and maybe a screenshot of each one sitting at the Tableturf Battle Dojo table.

I made a quick draft in my sandbox and experimented with two different ways of displaying the decks. If someone wants to run with this, go ahead. Or I can do it!

By the way, the deck lists have been datamined and are available here (on the Deck List tab). Gomtuu (talk) 17:52, 13 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thank you for noticing it and wanting to spin it off into something bigger, Gomtuu! Also, I've made some tweaks to the version of the table that you used for Baby Jelly, but I couldn't get the card images to display in the center of each cell. I like this version because it doesn't take up as much space with the list of card names, and it lets there be a description of the deck at the top.
Starter Deck
Splattershot
Blaster
Splat Roller
Splat Charger
Heavy Splatling
Slosher
Splat Dualies
Tri-Stringer
Splatana Wiper
Splat Bomb
Zapfish
Flooder
Chum
SquidForce
Marigold
Also, I wasn't datamining for the players whose decks I already documented.

Oh, dear. I didn't know that the formatting would be butchered if I placed the table's code in the normal "reply" box. I've edited the general talk page to get it to show up properly. Lapsem (talk) 03:47, 14 September 2022 (UTC) Edited on: Lapsem (talk) 04:12, 14 September 2022 (UTC) |}Reply[reply]
Here's a mockup of what a Quotes page would look like, with a separate table for each language option:
Lapsem (talk) 05:02, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Your changes to the deck table look good! I centered the card shapes and made a template based on this version of the table, then updated my sandbox page to use it.
I'm not sure a table is necessary for the quotes? The narrow columns are kind of hard to read on mobile devices. But maybe each character could have a two-column table with Greet/Win/Loss/etc. in the first column and the quotes in the second column? Gomtuu (talk) 18:18, 14 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I saw on the internet that the "Clone Jelly" just copy your deck when you face it. I am not lvl 47 yet, so I cannot confirm, but it would make sense with the name "Clone Jelly". I don't know why the data mining says otherwise. EvilSquid (talk) 08:25, 27 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I independently came to the same conclusion that the list of Splatsville Locals should be a subpage, and begun drafting this version of it. Your draft appears to be far more detailed, but mine includes a brief mention of the theme each deck is based around - a factor I would like to merge into your version, with your blessing. S3 Icon Ammo Knights.png Sheldon So, you know I talk a big game about weapons, and you're wondering if I can back it up, right? Consider what's about to happen a lesson! I'll be using my carefully curated deck that's absolutely STACKED with some of the most formidable cards in existence! Just as I predicted—I win! Sorry—I don't get to battle much. This is all I have! No! How could this happen? I've got to do more research... Rest assured, I'll use the data from this matchup to provide a tougher challenge next time. Back to my research chamber! I can't believe it—we tied! What an unusual result. I think, by definition, this makes us rivals. Well played, rival! Thank you for being such a worthy Tableturf Battle competitor. As a small token of my appreciation, I got you some special card sleeves! I look forward to many more well-fought battles with you in the future.
S3 Icon Naut Couture.png Gnarly Eddy Oh! Uh, hey. You want to BATTLE me? That sounds, like, intense... I mean, I'm not any good, but I like playing games, so... Let's do it? Whoa. I guess I won. Sorry. I don't wanna harsh your vibe or anything. Guess I got lucky. Yeah, you're pretty good at this. I'll totally try harder next time. If...if you want, I mean. Whoa, a tie. Like...did we even play a game if there's no winner or loser? We gotta try again sometime. Just to make sure this isn't, like, all a dream or something... Hey, so, ummm... Thanks for, like, always playing this game with me. I guess it'd be pretty cool if you used these card sleeves sometime. I mean...if you want to. I'm kinda totally into this game now, so maybe we can play again sometime?

List of all cards

okay I know it sounds stupid but it would be usefull KefuneO (talk) 17:25, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

There's a separate page for that: List of Tableturf Battle cards in Splatoon 3. (There's a "main article" link to that page at the top of the Cards section.) Gomtuu (talk) 17:55, 16 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I was wondering

Could we please get some info on what decks each of the rivals use? I think that it might be helpful. the octoling girl 20:50, 28 October 2022 (UTC)

I am not referring to anything that might come.

Does anyone know the reason why Lil Judd's dialogue sound like a villain. I am not trying to make an off-topic conversation, and I think we should add something about this. If something like this is shown in the future, I deeply apologize. Just wondering.

Thoughts?

Some people theorize that Lil Judd takes command of Grizzco (and the bear statue radio inside Grizzco) after the player completes Story Mode. This is supported by the fact that Lil Judd starts wearing a headset after Story Mode is completed. That could be related. At this point, it's just speculation, until we get some solid evidence, which might come in the form of the paid DLC for Splatoon 3 that Nintendo announced. Not to mention his Tableturf cards are related to Salmon Run ! Spring Sprinkle Princess (talk) 01:27, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

When you battle Craig, is he dried up or normal? Does it change depending on whether you've completed story mode or not?

I haven't got to him yet, so I don't know, but if that is so, we should have some facts about it. Wind Waker (talk) 21:37, 4 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You can only fight deep cut and the squidbeak splatoon after being the story, so he's dried up Reecey Boi (talk) 00:14, 5 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Gotchya, thanks. Wind Waker (talk) 11:32, 7 November 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Why can the player unlock stages?

Is there a reason? All of the rivals have unchangable stages, so whats the point of unlocking stages is they just come with certian rivals? (Ik they can be used for testing out decks, but is that all?) LakePuddle 🗩 🖉 13:53, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

They're unlockable so the player can choose between these stages as a host when playing Tableturf with other real people. signature Milchik (talk) 14:29, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
ohhhh okay, thanks! LakePuddle 🗩 🖉 15:09, 24 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

"Splatsville locals"

This term is used widely in the article to refer to CPU-controlled characters who can be challenged—is this term used anywhere in the game? If not, I'd suggest changing it to "rivals" or something similar since many of the post-DLC rivals are not in fact local to Splatsville. --Lyichir (talk) 20:46, 22 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

From the cards I'm seeing in these post-DLC rival decks, I can assume that they will not be Splatsville locals. MarioL369 (talk) 16:51, 26 September 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New maps

Should we add the new maps that SplatoonNA shared? CaleBoi25 (talk) 18:33, 21 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

New Sleeves and Maps

Does anyone have files of the new TTB maps and sleeves added in v7.0.0? I can't find them online anywhere. CaleBoi25 (talk) 21:59, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

V7.0.0 opponents decks

a dataminer has uncovered the deck for Marina, Pearl, Acht, Bisk, Flow, and Jelfonzo. Just letting you know if you wanna add it to their respective pages PotatoWIFI (talk) 08:56, 4 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
