Old Button Images

Since we've replaced the buttons for the Button template, anyone think its okay for me to tag all the old/obsoleted ones for deletion? They're small but useless. Normally I wouldn't bother asking but there are a few inputs not covered by the new template. ~CreatorGX (Talk) 16:25, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Sounds good to me. If we need to specify a direction on the + control pad, we can just easily edit the existing icons, select that part of the image, and increase or decrease the lighting, at the very minimum. Better than keeping and using these, as the styles are all conflicting. – EspyoT 16:53, 16 September 2015 (UTC)Reply[reply]

About the Left Stick Left icon, which points to the right instead of to the left

I tried to fix it by myself, but looking at the page's source code presents "switch-icon left-stick-left", meaning that it's the thing that that code calls upon that's the problem. There was no Template:Button/style.css page for me to edit like how there's a Template:TableturfShape/style.css page that connects to Template:TableturfShape, so I don't know what should be done here. Additionally, Switch Icon Left Stick Left.svg properly points to the left, so that's a case of the inner guts of the page calling upon the wrong image. "Game" parameter

I think the "game" parameter should use abbreviations for the Splatoon games. For example, Splatoon=S, Splatoon 2=S2, Splatoon 3=S3. This makes the template more consistent to others. RotM Icon Frye.pngSquidcat (talk) 15:28, 3 April 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Update requested

I have worked with Lake to convert the existing https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Template:Button into a module: https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/Module:Sandbox/Trig_Jegman/Button with results able to be viewed here: https://splatoonwiki.org/wiki/User:Trig_Jegman/Button

It is completely backwards compatible§, and would effectively allow for far more input options to be considered correct/valid inputs (helping usability). In theory, the template will also load things faster. Let me know what you think about switching over to using this.

§one icon, the "handheld" switch icon, does not work because its not a css icon like the rest of them. It would need changed in order to work properly
