Water For Inklings is an upcoming Splatoon online tournament.[1] A regional qualifier event, the tournament's main goal is to raise money for charity: water, a non-profit organization that provides clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations.[2][3]

History

The tournament was formerly announced on Squidboards on June 29th, 2016. A collective effort from different members of the competitive Splatoon community, the online tournament was created as a charity event where procedures will go to the charity: water non-profit organization.

The tournament was divided into three Qualifier Events, a Wild Card Series, and a Main Event. The European Qualifiers took place on July 16th, 2016. The Americas Qualifiers took place on July 17th, 2016. The Wild Card Series took place on July 23rd, 2016. The Main Qualifiers took place on July 24th, 2016. The Main Event is scheduled to take place on July 30th, 2016.
