File deleting

I have a bunch of user files and I want to delete them, but I don't know how to do so. How do I delete them or mark them for someone else to delete? Thanks, Inktoling (talk)

My user pages (too many)

Users are permitted five (5) user pages and seven (7) user images. Files like File:Callie1.png and File:S3 Shiver Render.png that are used on User:Splat.girl/Sandbox 5/OC are not considered user images because they are used in other official places on the wiki (such as Callie or Splatoon 3/Gallery). Files like File:Splat.girl's OC Bobble.jpg and File:Splat.girl's OC Squid.jpg are considered user images because you are the only person using them, and they would not appropriately fit into main articles. It appears at present, you still have ten (10) user images. My suggestion if you still want all your characters on a page is to use an image editing software and put the individual characters together—having multiple characters within the same file, instead of individual uploads. Moving pages to the Inkipedia: namespace is not considered appropriate, as Inkipedia: namespace is reserved for official site policies or sponsored events (such as Inkfests). Hope that clarifies it! You would need to use an external image editing service. Another free possibility is Google Drawings, where you can add multiple images in, resize them as needed, and then export the whole "page" as one PNG file. Trig - 18:46, 23 April 2023 (UTC)

A lot of questions

Hi Trig Jegman, my account is Acid from Discord... and I KNOW that i'm not supposed to ask on here because you said you didn't care, and I KNOW that you probably will delete this because why should you not... and I KNOW you said to contact you on Discord, but I can't because the only way I can talk to you is for me to friend you... and why should you accept a friend request from me when you believe i'm under the age, and oh my gosh this looks like a quick easy ban from the Inkipedia as a whole but i'm really annoyed right now so i'm just gonna spill a real big mess because why not.

I am not twelve.

I am not twelve years old and I don't know what I can do to tell you that I am not. I have a birth certificate, I have anything, literally anything... that states i'm not twelve, because I did a little aging, and I gonna turn a little fourteen soon. So unless you divide that by 2, I am not under aged.

Unless, if your issue is that I am 13, please state so, because from what i've heard, you have to be at least 13 years old. The COPPA law, states that you have to be 13, Discord, states that you have to be 13, and oh my god I am sweating right now I honestly dont know what ever source you went on told you I was twelve because I aint. Did I mention I was sweating?

Idk what else I need to give you for you to believe me, because truthfully, i'm a little sweaty and a little 14 year old... the thing you went off of is outdated, if it's my email, which I don't know why it would, my email is also outdated, because I've never bothered to update it. So now, i'm going to sit here, and wait for a response (please do), and in conclusion, i'm not twelve.

Also the math questions were for fun; I know how to do Circle Area when the circumference is 18 and PI is 3.14, and I'm pretty sure if I were to ask 12 me that same math question i'd throw a fit because at 12 years old I did not do shapes.

Also, I think the Discord should have an appeal page, there's literally no one to talk to... and if there is, i'm very willing to use this as my appeal.

Isn't pulling assets from Splatnet 3 also violating the policy?

Based on your recent comment on my talk page, you mentioned that I added an image to this page that has not been officially given by Nintendo, and violated the INK:LEAK policy. Although this is true in some ways, there were other cases similar to this, but weren't taken down or even had the user warned. Nintendo has never publicly released assets like this one through any social media post or website. Which means that users had to find an alternative way to retrieve them, which happened to be using reverse-engineering to allow a browser version of Splatnet 3 to run, and pulling assets from there. Doesn't that technically violate this policy? If it doesn't, then I'm assuming what I did wasn't really breaking any rules. Please reply to this and tell me what you think. Hey -N1ntendo-, this is a topic I've been discussing with the rest of staff lately so I hope you don't mind me filling in for Trig here. This is a matter of datamines regarding already-revealed content versus datamines regarding upcoming content; our leaks policy currently states that uploading datamined upcoming content (eg. assets for July's events) is not allowed unless a source is attributed to it, which would typically be a Tweet made by a reputable dataminer or such. Direct uploads of upcoming unrevealed assets by editors that they datamined themselves is not allowed.

In your case, you uploaded the Tricolor icon asset that is both unrevealed on social media and currently inaccessible in-game. Once it becomes accessible in-game, you would be free to re-upload the file.

That specific Team Power icon asset had been revealed and subsequently made accessible to users via the Splatnet 3 app on the day the Splatfest Sneak Peek began; the Sneak Peek began at 28 April 08:00 UTC, and that file was uploaded at 28 April 17:48 UTC, so it would not count as an instance of leaking upcoming content. Additionally, we do not take issue with datamining as a whole, it's a matter of whether or not the associated content as been officially revealed or not. Yoshifan52 (talk) 21:53, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

About my Sandbox pages

So, every since the wiki-notification about the limitation policy on user content deadline started popping up again recently, I was wondering and would like a reminder; Will my Sandbox pages be safe from being deleted upon the deadline's arrival? Because if they get planned on being deleted, I plan on copying (plus modifying/proofing) their contents onto a Google Doc in preparation to add it to the Fanon wiki in the future. Inkipedia users are permitted up to five user subpages. per the policy. Pages that do count for user content are your fanfictions/characters/personal accomplishments; Anything that is meant for YOU and not to later be integrated onto Inkipedia's main spaces. Pages such as drafts, feature testing, or development of new features do not count for this limit. The sooner you can make appropriate changes, the better as it reduces the work I and the rest of staff will need to take when September hits. Thanks for reaching out. That is effectively what we are already doing, as the goal is to save SRL+other resources. That said, there may be some things where we capture the SRL from tumblr, but not the identical message posted to twitter; I am more concerned about archiving everything we already actively *have* and *use* before trying to add *more* from something like SRL twitter. Hi there! Please have a read of our Signatures Policy which contains a set of instructions for creating a custom signature. You might want inspiration from others' signatures which will likely be in their own /sig subpage. For Trig, their color is because they are a wiki admin and affiliate rather than having a custom signature. Template:Unrelated

[[Template:Unrelated]] was recently deleted however I believe that this is a mistake

I created this page to put on files such as the File:User Random Squid Girl the invader.jpg and Inkipedia:Barnsquids

in your deletion you explained that it was the same as Template:Real however these are not irl

For files, the written file description and file typing categories (being registered as meta types) should be more than sufficient to understand that they are not directly related to Splatoon proper, as well as generally just broad observation. The "Unrelated" template is used to indicate that a given topic or subject is not associated with Splatoon. This template serves as a visual cue for readers and editors, highlighting the absence of a connection between the content discussed and the specified placeholder.

Is a template like that really necessary though? One of your examples is a user image used on the user's page and nowhere else, and the other is an "Inkipedia:" page, not a regular mainspace article. Neither of those would require some sort of notice. I think it's already clear enough they're not directly related to the series. FancyRat 01:52, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

And as was described before, for files it can be explicitly stated within the file description that it is a user image (if the meta type of "user image" and the category description was not distinct enough). These are things that could be very easily derived with a written description. The use of notice templates should, generally speaking, be kept as minimal as possible as they are intended to be temporary or as non-intrusive as possible. Trig - 02:00, 29 November 2023 (UTC)

I have no clue what file you're talking about. I presume File:Till Depth Do Us Part.oga? I have no issues playing it through Inkipedia or through audio programs (Ocenaudio; VLC). Apple devices in particular do not work well with oga so I would suggest converting it if that is the platform you are using. Trig - 17:18, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

I've worked on the page, and I have completed it. it is ready to be pasted on the notification board, and I am asking if you will. But before you would, could you please proof read it? Your passion and dedication is more than welcome but I have to make some notes. Instead of doing a Main Page article, projects like these are supposed to go to userspace (which's has been made at this point of writing). Furthermore, instead of consulting one user only, it would be better to inform the whole community (best case through our Discord or Ink-Pump). Trig for example is an editor less to not focussed on in-game content, which makes them not the best to consult about projects like these. And while with good intent it would be more than appreciated/advised that you remove Trig from the example on who to @. It is true that they are staff and ready to help others but making them the example of staff to turn to can lead to the confusion of others, that Trig is the first to contact on the matter, which is like mentioned above not the case.   Perfectionist   (talk) 09:25, 6 March 2024 (UTC)
