My Thoughts on your Sandbox...

I love it so far! I just finished reading the charecters and they all seem so cool(Except for blue team. Them I hate). My especially favorite thing is how the gear combos of some people like Andy who wears the camo combo, and Ava who has the CoroCoro combo, and especially Adam who has the Squid Stitch combo! @Squid400; Yep! That's what I'm going for! She will be like Power from Team Meta, but more fierce and aggressive. Just need to wait for S3's Official Weapon lineup. (Base-Game & Post-Release) Currently I'm thinking E-liter 5K Scope (If it IS gonna be called that), a Splatterscope (Unconfirmed) or a Bow (Obviously gonna be more than one of them). P.J. My Current Thoughts

So, I read everything up to chapter 2, and so far it's excellent! What really impresses me is the fact that you created all of these teams, each with their own personalities and gear combinations, along with a well-written story (so far) to boot. I think I'll read it incrementally when I have some spare time since I want to work on mainspace manga stuff as well. Princewave 17:23, 29 January 2022 (UTC)

Update: I have now read everything in your canon! If I were to provide some constructive criticism, then I think your canon could greatly improve from it. Firstly, perhaps Blue Team could have some more time in the spotlight. You could make Hunter actually get away with something malicious, and make a chapter or a story arc about how the protagonists work together to take down the Blue Team. Secondly, unless it specifically has content exclusive to this canon, don't go in depth on the single player campaigns of each game, as the average person reading already probably has a basic understanding of the plot of the first two games. (If not, then they can read about it in a plethora of other places as well.) Lastly, maybe tone down the large amounts of teams and characters for a few of them with fleshed-out personalities. (What's the point of making a character with a personality if you aren't going to utilize it?) I'm sorry if all of that sounded harsh or overly critical in any way, shape, or form. @Cynical Prince; Thanks for reading my Sandbox Canon! Glad you liked it. Also to your criticism. 1: My Blue Team members wanted to get away with their malicious attitudes & actions, but always got caught. They are my "bad actions lead to consequences" style characters. 2: There ARE some things in my Hero Mode Chapters that are unique from the Games like Octrina as a rival, Jeff as a secondary 8 and the Sanitized Octobosses guarding the Thangs, as well as my Deepsea Metro layout being totally different. And 3: Yeah, I should add more detail to the matches with my side-Teams in the opening, tournament and Final Splatfest Chapters. I may plan on that someday. I totally get your reasons for not accepting my criticisms. (And yes, I did think the SSBU chapter was pretty cool.) If I were to make a sandbox of my own, I would either make a story that takes place in the past (preferably around 1994-2002 M.E.), or I would make a story in the official manga universe, with sort of a "What if Team Blue never existed?" or "What if Team Order won the Final Fest?" kind of plot. @Cynical Prince; Thanks again! The reason I made this was, in my opinion the manga is way too silly for me and was inspiration for it. Blue Team, (Goggles in particular) are just so pathetic in my eyes. This is why my characters are more serious and mature. You may have seen some of my characters' personalities, traits and gear combos are based off of Manga characters:

• Dylan & Hal (S1 Look) = Aloha in gear theme.
• Sarah = Headphones.
• Hunter = Goggles in gear theme.
• Cara = Bobble Hat in gear theme.
• Xavier = Specs in gear theme.
• Peter = Skull, in which they wear a mouth covering bandana.
• Kyle & Rider (My Canon) = Rider (Manga) in appearance.
• Frexa (S1 Look) & Dane = Army.
• Duke = Gloves in which they both wield Splat Dualies, are Agent 4, and wear the Squidfin Hook Cans.
• Alex = Vintage in gear theme.
• Brittney = Mask, as they both were a mouth covering for an illness/disease.
• Jen = Eight.
• Valkyrie = Emperor in appearance, and Vintage in Rank & serious attitude.
• Phill = Double Egg in gear theme.
• Jeff = Seven.

Also, to your previous reply; I'm also not interested or into making "What If..." scenario chapters as I mainly have my Canon be based off of "Official" Canon (e.g: Marie (S1) & Chaos (S2) win). Lastly, I see that you're good at drawing Splatoon characters in the Manga's art-style. Can you make ones of Duke, Jen, Valkyrie & my upcoming S3 Avatar? Don't do the latter one now because I haven't finalized their appearances yet and I'd like them in the style of your "Shadow Prince" drawing please. Thanks. P.J. Thanks for the reply. I don't usually take commissions, as the time it takes for me to finish a drawing varies immensely. Sometimes It'll take just a few hours, but in other cases when I'm less motivated, it can take days, or even weeks to get it done. Especially when it's several images. I have a lot of headcannons and other ideas of mine that are still in the works, but I'll see what I can do regarding your request. My thoughts on your canon!

I finished reading your sandbox and I must say... clearly a lot of time and thought went into this. Every character has their own personality and gear sets, and not to mention the backstory for each game! I admire your dedication to make something different. I have not read the manga and while I may not agree with everything in the rules, this sounds like a fun AU! Hi again! This is just a small error, but during the battle with Turquoise team, you wrote 'Nick fires off an Inkstrike to scatter them while Sally takes out Mia and Della with her Inkzooka as tried to slip past her.', and I noticed that it's supposed to be 'as they tried to slip past her'. The smallest issue...

Uh.....hi. Again. What I'm about to say is something I mean in all due respect. I apologize beforehand. Anyway, your writing is amazing, the only issues really being spelling errors. My biggest issue with this so far, however, is Sally. She's not a bad character or anything, it's just...she seems a bit TOO hostile towards Hunter. I can see why, but there's something about her violence towards Hunter seems a bit...I dunno, unfair? He didn't actually do anything too bad in the past...I'm not telling you to rework Sally or something, it's just kind of bothered me. Sorry! I just felt like I should tell you about this. @ArivakiVA; Well, the first half of Part 1 and a few bits of Part 3 are headcanon as well as Part 6 too, but the parts detailing what humanity did to prevent their extinction (barring the DNA transplants), the rise and fall of Alterna, 'Octavio, Tartar & Grizz hatching their respective schemes', 'Callie, Marie & Pearl's singing contest performances', and 'Marina repairing and upgrading the Octoweapons' are from official canon. As for the Great Turf War Part, I just used what little lore about the war that's available via the games on it (Octavio's betrayal, Arowana Castle as some examples), while sprinkling in my own ideas.
