Similar username

SLATE O, I noticed you have quite a similar username to our b-cat Slate. Our rename policy indicates to avoid any names that are too similar to another editor's username. Now, your edits have been in good faith and are very helpful to the wiki! So there is no indication that it has been done to impersonate other users which would fall under the umbrella of our harassment policy. I suggest you should apply a name request to differentiate between your contributions and avoid any misunderstandings. If the username is very important to you, we can try to make an exception and have two users with a similar username. I hope you understand the delicate situation that fell upon us. Thank you. Hello Shahar,

first of all, I apologize for my late response! I had been meaning to answer sooner but I simply forgot.

Personally, I would technically like to keep the name, as I use it for everything Splatoon-related.

However, as far as I can tell, Slate is a very prominent user here, so I understand that a name change might be what's best. I'm afraid I simply have to change my name to something else, even though I appreciate you considering an exception.

I'll take care of it soon.
