Videogame consoles are electronic devices dedicated to playing videogames. They are typically categorized into two categories: home consoles which require the use of a TV and handhold consoles which are smaller and portable.
The Splatoon series of videogames are exclusively available on videogame consolesproduced by Nintendo.

Other Nintendo consoles
Miscellaneous other Nintendo consoles have made cameo appearances in the Splatoon series. Originally appearing as background decoration elements in certain Octo Expansion stations, the consoles reappear as catalog-exclusive locker decorations in Splatoon 3. Each such locker decoration variant features a humorous name parodying the original console name. These consoles are:
- The Game & Watch, referred to as the "Play & Observe".
- The Nintendo Entertainment System, referred to as the "Intended Entertainment System ".
- The Super Nintendo Entertainment System, referred to as the "Supreme Ness".
- The Nintendo 64, referred to as the "eight-squared game system".
- The Game Boy Color, referred to as the "see-through Game Youth".
- The Nintendo GameCube, referred to as the "cubic gaming system ".
