The NILS Statue is a giant statue created by a human professor 12,000 years before the events of Splatoon 2. Commander Tartar, an AI created by the same professor, attempts to use the statue as a weapon to destroy Inkopolis.
In Splatoon 2 - Octo Expansion
The NILS Statue is the map on which the final boss of the Octo Expansion, Turf War, is "battled." Agent 8 must cover the statue entirely in ink, with the help of Marina's Hyperbombs, in order to prevent it from charging, thereby preventing the extinction of the Inklings.
Trivia
- The NILS Statue may be based on a statue of the Greek god Hermes.
- The cannon that is part of the NILS Statue has several built-in blenders that look identical to the blender that Agent 8 and Cap'n Cuttlefish stepped inside earlier.
