Weapon badges are a progress indicator introduced in Splatoon 2 version 4.6.0.
Badges are shown on the equipment screen. They represent how much ink points the player has obtained using each weapon. There are four badges, unlocked at 100,000, 500,000, 1,000,000, and 9,999,999 (the maximum number of points).
