Version 5.0.0 is an update for Splatoon 2 that will be released on July 31st 2019 at 08:00 UTC[1]; it will be the last update for new content.[2]

New Content

Private Battle

Private Battle will receive a new mode called "Turf War (Splatfest)", which will function like normal Turf War but will change the stage and ink colors to the look of a Splatfest. Stage selection options will include every regular stage, as well as all 24 Shifty Stations. The ink color used can be chosen from all 51 Splatfest ink color combinations used across all three regions.

Gear

The gear item Splatfest Tee Replica will be added and given to all players as part of the update. The item will have the ability Ability Doubler, matching the original, Splatfest-only Splatfest Tee.
