Single player mission info
The Ss has many holidays that are celebrated. Most of these holidays are based on real life holidays, such as Christmas and Halloween.

Squidmas
|-
Squidmas is a holiday celebrated in Inkadia that is assumed to be celebrated during colder weather. Much is unknown about this holiday aside from its obvious similarity to the human holiday of Christmas. From this, it is assumed that in the winter, a figure named Father Squidmas goes around the world giving out presents and freshness to all the good Inkling children.
! Area

! Enemies
According to Callie of the Squid Sisters, Father Squidmas can be found in the North Pole of the Earth, making gifts all year in preparation for Squidmas time. According to her cousin Marie, Father Squidmas isn't real and all of their interactions with him are simply their grandfather dressed up as him.
! Items

! Mechanics
Squidmas is an additional element associated with the localization. The Japanese addition originally did not have it, as well as other regions, though official art celebrating the holidays does use the term "Squidmas".

Octivus
|
Octivus is a holiday that also involves giving gifts. It is likely celebrated by Octarians instead of Squidmas. It is mentioned by Marina in the Sweater vs. Sock dialogue.

Halloween
|
Halloween is another holiday that is celebrated as evidenced by the Trick vs. Treat Splatfest and its rematch. Just like the human holiday of the same name, people dress up in costumes and participate in trick or treating activities. Locations are likewise decorated with scary decor such as ghost, skeletons and glow-in-the-dark graffiti.
|-

!Checkpoint 1
There are multiple names used for this holiday. In the English dialogue for Fancy Party vs. Costume Party, Marie mentions "Squidoween". Later in the Trick vs. Treat Splatfest Pearl and Marina talk about "Splatoween", which is also the name of the event it was during. In the same dialogue they both also call it Halloween, so "Splatoween" may just be the name of the event, not the holiday.

Shiver
This is an attempt at fixing some of the issues brought up on the talk page for Shiver to do with the section on her gender. I tried to keep most of it since a lot of effort went into the research. I removed the section about Japanese pronouns, and shortened and changed the order of some other parts. I also removed the part about when her gender was confirmed, since the game is out now. If this doesn't get used that is completely fine. I do not mind any criticism of it.
Paragraph
When Shiver was first revealed, there was speculation about her gender and the possibility of her being non-binary or ambiguously gendered. In the Splatoon 3 Direct, neither the presentation nor most other promotional material (such as the announcement dialogue for the Splatoon 3 Splatfest World Premiere and references to Deep Cut on the official website) specifically referred to Shiver's gender. This was consistent across most languages, including text in some languages that require it (French, Italian, and Spanish) not refering to Shiver in ways that would require inflecting adjectives or verbs for gender. Other than one Nintendo Portugal message that used "pela", implying Shiver to be female., no other official social media referred to her gender.
In contrast, Shiver's bandmates Big Man and Frye were referred to at reveal with terms connoting male and female grammatical gender, respectively. For example, Frye introduces herself in French as "the queen of eels", and in Spanish as the "[female] marine choreographer",
