Just like the human holiday of the same name, people dress up in costumes and participate in trick or treating activities. Locations are likewise decorated with scary decor such as ghost, skeletons and glow-in-the-dark graffiti.

| There are multiple names used for this holiday. In the English dialogue for Fancy Party vs. Costume Party, Marie mentions "Squidoween". Later in the Trick vs. Treat Splatfest Pearl and Marina talk about "Splatoween", which is also the name of the event it was during. In the same dialogue they both also call it Halloween, so "Splatoween" may just be the name of the event, not the holiday.
