Template:InfoboxCharacter Goldies are Boss Salmonids that appear in Salmon Run in Splatoon 2.

Description

Goldies typically show up during Salmon Rush and Goldie Seeking, and may rarely appear during Fog. Goldies are golden Chums that are faster, hit harder, and have high health. Additionally, they grow progressively faster as they take damage. Goldies also replace all Boss Salmonids during Salmon Rush. Goldies are taller than regular Chums. Mr Grizz refers to them as 'the golden one'. During Rush, Goldies are the only boss Salmonoids and will pursue the player surrounded with Glowflies. During this occurance and Fog, they only drop three Golden Eggs. During Goldie Seeking, they are again the only boss Salmonoids. The aim of the occurance is to attempt to find the Goldie hiding in the Gushers. When found, the Goldie will attempt to run away. Given enough time, they will hide in another Gusher. If you immediately open this Gusher, the Goldie will emerge, but after a minute they will switch Gusher. This is the only occurance where the Goldie will get smaller as it loses scales. Goldies make an eerie screeching sound.

Trivia

  • Its design could possibly be a reference to Roman dolphin statues, as this Salmonid is wearing toga-like clothing and its scales have a swirly pattern.
