When you’re buying game cards, you have to purchase the specific region’s game cards, or any region’s as the console is region-agnostic? Japanese Splatfest Tee screenshots

Hi!

User:Rassicas and I have been trying to get screenshots of the Splatfest Tees for each splatfest (see Splatfest_Tee/Gallery#Splatoon_2). Since Rassicas is in the NA region and I am in the EU region, we can cover most, but not all of the Splatfests. I know that you have all three versions of the game, so would you be okay with helping on the JP front? What we usually take is:

  • In the gear selection menu, before the Splatfest starts (but after its announcement), zoom in (ZR) on the tee, and take screenshots of the front and back.
    • If you wait for the Splatfest to start to take these, you cannot zoom in, since the clothing selection menu is locked off. You can still zoom in at the clothing store, though.
  • To get both designs, I have an alt account (which I also keep at level 2, to check what is the unlock level for new weapons). I'm not sure what Rassicas uses.
  • During the Splatfest, we take screenshots of an Inkling from each team in the Square, as well as a Jellyfish from each team (there's usually two dancing on top of Inklings' heads near Murch). I like to zoom in with ZR and remove the crosshairs with ZL, but that's far from necessary.

I'd completely understand if it's too much of a hassle for you, but would appreciate if you could help us.

Thanks! -Inkrid (talk) 10:17, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Thanks for being willing to help, and good catch on the Agility vs Endurance shirts! -Inkrid (talk) 11:47, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

A few screen crops from past Splatfests of snaps I took myself. I guess for now, they're better than nothing, since it's too late to get proper images from these fests. More to come -DJParticle (talk) 13:41, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

And here are the front/back shots from the latest Japanese Splatfest Tees -DJParticle (talk) 14:15, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Great stuff! I put them in the page. If you have more, feel free to add them here, or there or just upload them and ping me on the Inkipedia channel on Discord -Inkrid (talk) 14:34, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

User images

Hi, it looks like you upload a lot of images intended only for userpages. For these kinds of images, please tag the image page by adding {{user image}} to the file's page. Tagging the image with {{user image}} ensures that the images are properly categorized, indicates clearly to viewers of a filepage that the image is not for encylopedic/educational purposes, and prevents the image from being deleted. Heddy (talk) 23:55, 18 May 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think I got 'em all. Just please tag them going forward, tagging/categorizing images really helps keep the wiki tidy :). Also another suggestion, you might want to check out Tumblr, as that seems to be the ideal platform for blogging along with images like that. Of course you can use userpages on the wiki for blog posts, but wikis aren't as good as dedicating blogging websites like Tumblr, so I offer that suggestion. Heddy (talk) 00:31, 19 May 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Ok. i have no issue using the tag, I just didn't know it was a thing until now *heh* -DJParticle (talk) 21:33, 19 May 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Favours for Shifty Station

Hey DJ! I was just wondering, since you have the Japanese copy of the game, I was wondering if you could do a handful of favours for Shifty Station 11 after your Queenout.

  • Test out whether Toxic Mist, Point Sensor, Inkjet or bubbles from the Bubble Blower affect the platforms on layout 11. (Again, going to do myself but... :(
If you don’t want to do any of these I’m fine with that, but if you do, thanks a bunch! :D

I could try if I remember. I actually forgot to take jellyfish pix for this last one  :( -DJParticle (talk) 01:23, 21 May 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
To err is human. We all make mistakes (like I wouldn’t being asking for a favour if I allocated time for experimentation...) Adamsquid (talk) 02:22, 21 May 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you so much for testing for me! It really helped! :D Adamsquid (talk) 09:22, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Not a problem, and it gave Inkipedia a nice plug in the process! 😊 -DJParticle (talk) 00:33, 11 June 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Multi Regioning

When you’re buying game cards, you have to purchase the specific region’s game cards, or any region’s as the console is region-agnostic? I’m considering buying the Japanese version to give myself something to do when Japan has its Splatfests. (And the more Splatfests I participate in, the better. I love them so much) Adamsquid (talk) 11:13, 10 June 2018 (UTC)Reply[reply]
