Chill Season 2022 is the upcoming season for Splatoon 3. It will start on 1 December 2022.
Announcement
Chill Season 2022 was announced on 14 November 2022 on the SplatoonNA and SplatoonJP Twitter accounts. A higher-quality trailer was also uploaded to Nintendo's official Youtube accounts NA JP.
Confirmed Content
- X Battle game mode, unlockable after reaching a high rank in anarchy battles.
- Early information from the SplatNet 3 application API shows the Anarchy Battle Mode rotation for X rank will be distinct from Anarchy Battle (Series) and Anarchy Battle (Open), so three different modes will be available at any given time.
- Big Run.
- Big Run Stage(s): Wahoo World
- New catalog.
- New stages:

- A new shooter with Killer Wail 5.1.
- A new roller. Its paint while rolling is as much as the Dynamo Roller and it rolls as fast as the Splat Roller.
- A new charger with the Tacticooler coming from Nouveau. It is seemingly able to charge and store up to five charges at once.

- The Tentatek Splattershot, with Splat Bombs.
- The Dapple Dualies Nouveau, with Torpedoes.
- The Forge Splattershot Pro, with Suction Bombs and the Booyah Bomb.
