Power Mask

Template:Infobox gear The Power Mask is a type of headgear in Splatoon. It is a 2-star item produced by the amiibo brand and comes with the main ability Defense Up.

This item cannot be purchased. Instead, it can only be obtained through completing the Inkling Squid amiibo's challenges.

Appearance

The Power Mask is a large, bulky helmet. It has a main section made of shiny black metal that is about as wide as the wearer's shoulders. Curving around the back and sides is a light gray piece with darker gray spots toward the bottom. In the place of eyes, there is a bright strip of light that changes color to match that of the wearer's ink, with larger shapes on both ends that give the impression of eyes on the sides of the wearer's head. Over the nose and mouth are three thick tubes, each with a pattern in black as well as the wearer's ink color. These tubes, the "eyes" on the sides of the head, and the roughly triangular shape of the helmet itself give it a squid-like appearance.

Because of its unusually large size, the Power Mask, along with the rest of the Power gear, often clips with the wearer's body and/or surroundings.

Abilities

The Power Mask comes with Defense Up as a main ability, which reduces damage taken from all attacks by up to 20%. As a 2-star item, it also has two slots for secondary abilities. Since the amiibo brand does not change the likelihood of any secondary abilities, they all have an equal chance.

2. Lair of the Octoballs — Splat Your Way to the Top!
3. Rise of the Octocopters — Leap to Victory!
4. Squish, Squash, Smash... The Mighty Octostomp! (Boss #1)
