Straw Boater
The Straw Boater is headgear in Splatoon and Splatoon 2. It is a 1-star item produced by [[File:Skalop_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] and comes with the main ability 
Quick Super Jump.
It can be purchased from Lua error in Module:Shop at line 47: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value). for Cash, from Lua error in Module:Shop at line 47: attempt to index field '?' (a nil value). for Cash, or from SplatNet 2 for Cash.
Appearance
The Straw Boater is a flat-brimmed, flat-topped straw hat. Its band changes color to match that of the wearer's Ink, with the top and bottom edges being considerably darker. On the left side of the band is a small bow, and on the right is a tiny [[File:Skalop_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] logo. When worn by a female the hat is at a slight angle, but on a male it is worn straight.

Abilities
The Straw Boater comes with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Straw Boater comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slot.

Abilities
The Straw Boater comes with Quick Super Jump as the primary ability when purchased from a shop or ordered from Murch. When purchased from SplatNet 2, it comes with any other primary ability normally available to Headgear. As a 1-star item, the Straw Boater comes with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail for each slot. Since it is made by the Skalop gear brand, it has a higher chance of rolling Quick Respawn and a lower chance of rolling Special Saver to fill its secondary ability slot.
