The Central Plaza is a hub and the in-game menu in Splatoon. From here you can access online multiplayer mode, visit shops, and interact with other player Inkling's in your Plaza via Miiverse. Like checking their stats, weapon setup, gear, and more.
The Inkling city (where the plaza is) is known as 'Highcolor/Haikara City' in Japanese.The layout and design of the Central Hub is based on the city of Shibuya in Tokyo, Japan.
