Squad Battle is an upcoming mode for Splatoon, to be release early August. Squad Battle allows groups of two to four friends to paticipate together in Ranked Battles.

Squad Battle has three modes:

• Quad Squad: Two teams of four players battle.
• Tri Squad: Two teams of three players battle.
• Twin Squad: Four teams of two players battle.
