Octodiscos are enemies in Splatoon 3's Return of the Mammalians that look similar to Octoballs.

Return of the Mammalians

Octodiscos look very similar to Octoballs, but look like disco balls and fly. When it notices the player, it creates a shield similar to the Big Bubbler and requires the player to shoot it from the top to defeat it. If there are other Octarians nearby, the Octodisco will follow them to protect them. The player can go inside the shield to defeat the Octarians which will destroy the barrier, leaving the Octodisco vulnerable. When the shield is activated, the Octodisco will spin around like how the Big Bubbler's generator spins. After a while, the shield will be deactivated, but the Octodisco will soon reactivate it.

• Like the Big Bubbler, the Octodisco will make a sound that will gradually get slower as the shield is activated.
