Blue Sea Slugs

The Blue Sea Slugs are a pair of shoes in the Splatoon series.

They are a 1-star item produced by Tentatek and come with the primary ability Special Charge Up. They can be purchased from Shrimp Kicks for  800.

Appearance

The Blue Sea Slugs are a pair of blue sneakers with several sections of black. They have white tongues and black laces, as well as a large black loop on the back. Like all [[File:Tentatek_Brand_{{{2}}}.png|24px|{{{2}}}|link=SquidForce]] [[{{{2}}}|{{{2}}}]] shoes, they feature a small Tentatek logo at the top of the tongue.

Abilities

The Blue Sea Slugs come with Special Charge Up as the primary ability. As a 1-star item, the Blue Sea Slugs come with one additional slot for secondary abilities, which may be increased to a maximum of three slots with a Super Sea Snail or 30,000 cash for each slot. Since they are made by the Tentatek gear brand, they have a higher chance of rolling Ink Recovery Up and a lower chance of rolling Quick Super Jump to fill their secondary ability slot.

Trivia

• The Blue Sea Slugs were present in Splatoon before being added as gear in Version 2.3.0, being in the game's files at its original release. They were seen in two instances: in an advertisement in Arowana Mall, and on Crusty Sean's second-highest pair of legs.
  • Out of Crusty Sean's four pairs of shoes, the Blue Sea Slugs and the Pink Trainers are the only ones that correspond to an item available to players.
