Overview
The player has to play a match of Rainmaker against a team of Sanitized Octolings and Sanitized Elite Octolings. Throughout the level, the player encounters Sanitized Octolings using Octo Shots with Splat Bombs, and others using Octarian Hero Rollers with Curling Bombs. The player may choose different paths to the enemy pedestal, but the Octolings will always Super Jump to or come out of hiding at fixed locations when Agent 8 comes close to such a spot. Like in online games, the Octolings may respawn after a while after being splatted, though only a limited amount of times. They may Super Jump back into the stage on their own or when they are provoked while in their spawn.
Player Spawn Area
When the player begins the stage, they land on a spawn point of a replica Port Mackerel. The Rainmaker spawns on the player's side pedestal, which must have its barrier broken and picked up. One Octoling with an Octoshot Super Jumps in on a small L-shaped container near the first open area, while an Octoling wielding a Roller comes out of hiding near an enemy sponge on the right side.
Center Area
A Splash Wall activates on the rightmost corridor when the player comes close to it. Destroying it and following the rightmost corridor as well as going through the middle corridor makes a Roller-wielding Elite Octoling Super Jump in which can use the Splashdown special weapon. Choosing the left corridor ends with another Splash Wall. The player may want to take out the aformentioned Octoling to make it a safer area for taking cover.
Enemy Spawn Area
An Octoling with an Octoshot Super Jumps in when approaching from the end of the left corridor, as well as another one that comes out of hiding on the containers in the middle of the second open area. Choosing the right corridor to the goal makes another Splash Wall activate. The player may also choose to avoid it and take the left corridor or climb the sponge on top of the containers, which Pearl suggests.
Choosing any of those routes makes one Roller-wielding Octoling Super Jump in on the elevated left or right side. By going just a bit further one Roller-wielding Elite Octoling near an enemy sponge Super Jumps in and one more Elite Octoling with an Octo Shot Super Jumps in when the player gets close to the enemy pedestal which quickly activates the Inkjet special weapon. Climbing the pedestal with the Rainmaker ultimately passes the test.

Trivia
- "Far-out" is a sixties to nineties slang term meaning "cool".
- The subtitle "Blast from the past!" alludes both to the Rainmaker's blast as well as to the fact that Port Mackerel is a returning stage from Splatoon.
- The Japanese name of this station is a pun on "Messhī-kun" (a man used by a woman to pay for her meals). It was a buzzword in 90s Japan.
- The Russian title and subtitle of this station are referencing a commercial of "Fairy" dish detergent from around end of 90s beginning of 00s, where two rival fictional Italian towns called Villarriba and Villabajo were washing dishes after a celebration.
- The title and subtitle of Sweet Ride Station are referencing this as well.

Translation notes
- ↑ "メツ・シー郡" stands for "メッシー君" (Messy-kun), a man who is used by a woman to pay for her meals (a kind of "back-up partner" in Japanese).
- ↑ "Gehavend" both means "docked in a harbor" and "damaged / battered".
- ↑ "Lossen" means "to unload", and "verlossen" means "to liberate / to rescue".
- ↑ From "Bazookarpe" (Rainmaker) and carpe diem (Latin phrase which translates to "seize the day").
- ↑ It's a pun between "tunnel carpale" (carpal tunnel), "carpa" (carp) and "bazookarp" (Italian for Rainmaker, created between bazooka and carpa, with the "k"). Note that the carpal tunnel is a syndrome that can be caused by repetitive movements of forearm, hand and fingers (like when playing video games).
- ↑ "Bazookarp" is the combination of the words "bazooka" and "carpa" (carp).
- ↑ Reference to commercial of "Fairy" dish detergent from around end of the nineties to the beginning of the 2000s, where two rival fictional Italian towns called Villarriba and Villabajo were washing dishes after a celebration. This reference is also used in Sweet Ride Station.
