How do I edit a page?

Click "edit" above the page. This will allow you to add or remove content. If you are unsure about what you are doing, try testing it on a sandbox page, looking at other pages for examples, or contacting a frequent editor.

It won't let me edit a page.

This is probably because the page is protected. There should be a notification box above the editing field describing the type of protection; often, pages are simply restricted to autoconfirmed users. Try making an account and editing a few other pages before trying again. If you still cannot edit the page, it may be protected so that only administrators can make changes to it. This is usually only done to very important articles to prevent anonymous vandalism.

How do I upload an image?

On the sidebar, under Tools, there is a link titled "Upload file." Click that link and follow the steps, and your image will be uploaded in no time! To add it to an article, simply type [[File:(Your file name here).(File extension, like jpg or png)]].

What is Splatoon?

Main article: Splatoon

Splatoon is a video game made by Nintendo in 2015.

Who is in charge of Inkipedia?

The community. There are no owners of the wiki, and every contributor every day helps Inkipedia stay alive.

Then what are Admins?

Administrators and Bureaucrats are editors who have been granted extra rights in order to maintain the wiki and prevent vandalism.

What are Patrollers?

Patrollers are editors who are trusted by the community and have been given the ability to patrol edits. They make sure all edits are quality edits and revert the edits that are not.

Can I be an Admin or Patroller?

Of course! If you feel you're ready to take up the challenge of having rights on Inkipedia, head on over to this page and leave a request. Please note that you will be given rights based on a community vote, so please contribute consistently before you make a request.

But Wikia—

No.

Why?

Inkipedia actually began as the Splatoon Wikia. In June 2015, we moved to this independent site so we could have more freedom over the content and quality of our articles. Essentially, we are the Splatoon Wikia, we've just moved sites.

Why not delete the old one to avoid confusion?

Unfortunately, Wikia staff refuse to delete old wikis, even if they were abandoned.
