Octohoppers are a type of Octarian and an enemy in Return of the Mammalians in Splatoon 3.
Description
Octohoppers are a variant of Octotroopers and very similar to them in design, but they ride a differently-designed vehicle resembling a pogo stick. This vehicle is composed of a spring-like post, a yellow base (which is more rectangular than that of an Octotrooper's vehicle), and a bucket-like nozzle used to fling ink similarly to a Slosher, which is how Octohoppers attack. They constantly jump up and down and actively pursue the player upon noticing them. It is also mentioned that they (apparently) hate puns.
There is also an Octodiver variant of the Octohopper that emerges from enemy ink upon the player's approach.
