Template:Infobox ability After getting splatted, Quick Respawn decreases the time spent watching the splat cam by up to 66%. Skalop gear has a 5x chance of rolling this ability.

In-Depth Ability

Normally watching the splat cam takes six seconds, followed by a three second respawn animation, for a combined nine second respawn time. This ability only reduces the splat cam portion of the respawn process. With Quick Respawn, the splat cam portion is reduced to four seconds, for a seven second respawn time. If fully stacked with three Quick Respawn abilities equipped the splat cam portion is reduced to two seconds, for a five second respawn time.

Use

This ability shortens the player's respawn time after getting splatted by the other's team Inkling or falling to water that causes them to dissolve and respawn. It has no other effects.

Quick Respawn tends to be most useful in Ranked Battles. This is due to the importance of getting back to the front lines quickly and the high likelihood of being splatted in the first place, since both teams are often gathered in a single area, such as around the Rainmaker or a Splat Zone. Teamwork is a crucial element of Ranked Battles, as well; being able to rejoin one's team just a moment sooner may turn the tide of battle.
