The SQUID GIRL Hat is a type of headgear in Splatoon. It is a 2-star item produced by The SQUID GIRL and comes with the main ability Opening Gambit.
It can be purchased from Cooler Heads for 1,600 cash.
Appearance
The SQUID GIRL Hat is a simple white hat made to resemble the top part of a squid, with two flaps on each side giving it a triangular shape. These flaps are slightly tinted on the bottom with the color of the wearer's ink. When worn by a female, it is quite small, perching on the back of her head. When worn by a male, it is much larger and thicker, covering his entire head, with his ears and two larger tentacles apparently tucked inside and the four smaller ones just poking out in the back.
Abilities
The SQUID GIRL Hat comes with Opening Gambit as a main ability, which, being exclusive to the main slot of headgear, prevents the wearer from also having Tenacity, Last-Ditch Effort, or Comeback. As a 2-star item, the SQUID GIRL Hat also has two slots for secondary abilities. Since the SQUID GIRL brand does not change the likelihood of any secondary abilities, they all have an equal chance.
