Inkling with a Paint Roller

The Paint Roller is one of the several Power Weapons in Splatoon. It appears to work differently from other weapons in the game, not function as a projectile but rather as a trail of paint that forms slightly ahead of the player.

The paint roller serves as a melee weapon and appears to give the user a better speed than other weapons. In the single player trailer, before the octopus army, it looks as if it has another way to attack with it, possibly adding range. Not only is it to form a trail of paint, but instantly splattering a player.
