Squad Battle is an upcoming mode for Splatoon, to be released on early August. Squad Battle allows groups of two to four friends to participate together in Ranked Battles. A squad will always battle together on the same team.
Squad Battle has three modes:
- Quad Squad: Two teams of four players battle.
- Tri Squad: Two teams of three players battle.
- Twin Squad: Four teams of two players battle.
