Squee-Gs(NA)[a] or Suckerfish (EU/OC)[b] are Octarian-made machines that appear in Template:S' single-player mode, Octo Valley. They cannot harm Agent 3, instead serving to hinder progress by removing their Ink.
Description
Squee-Gs are small, fish-like robots attached to a surface, either on the ground or a wall. When this surface is Inked, they automatically move to clean it up while making squeaking sounds. They cannot be destroyed, but are momentarily slowed down when shot at. Their eyes, fins, and mouths are a light teal when idle and turn yellow when they spot Ink.
Pickups such as Power Eggs or Armor can sometimes be found on their backs.
Appearances
- Squee-Gs were first introduced in Lair of the Octoballs.
- Squee-Gs later appeared in Inkvisible Avenues, cleaning Ink off of a vertical platform.
- Squee-Gs also appeared in Octosniper Ramparts.
Trivia
- The North American name, "Squee-G", is a pun on the surface cleaning tool squeegee.
- The Europe/Oceania name, "Suckerfish", comes from the robot's Ink-sucking ability as well as real-life suckerfish.
- Squee-Gs can clean up Octarian Ink as well as that of Agent 3.
