Squid Sisters

Template:Infobox characterThe Squid Sisters (Japanese: シオカラーズ Shiokaraazu) are an idol group in Inkopolis, consisting of Callie and Marie  (アオリ、ホタル Aori and Hotaru). They are also the hostesses for a News Program which announces events, new maps and announces other battle related news. These sisters host Splatfest which is an event where players decide one side to fight for. After battling it out the winning side of Splatfest get a special reward.

Callie

Callie's birthmark is on her left side. Unlike her sister, she wears shorts and seems to have a preference for the color pink. Callie has an edgier design in comparison to her sister's mellow design.

Marie

Marie's birthmark is on her right side. Marie seemingly likes the color green and wears a skirt rather than shorts. Marie is probably the more timid of the two.

Trivia

• Callie and Marie's names together are a reference to the food "calamari".
• The band's name in Japanese is a portmanteau of shiokara (fermented squid stew) and the english word "colors."
• Their given names in Japanese are derived from real-world species: "Aori-ika" or Bigfin Reef Squid, and "Hotaru-ika" or Firefly Squid.
