Im not sure about Multiple Cohozunas as it is mentioned as the “King Salmonid”, it doesn’t makes sense to have multiple kings on a kingdom. What I thought its that when it passes a certain time, a new Cohozuna borns and it gets the King title, but I not agree with Multiple Cohozunas at the same time. Multiple Cohozunas?
I just read the version 1.2.0 patch notes and they referred to Cohozuna as "a Cohozuna" and "Cohozunas" implying that they're a type of Salmonid and are not a single entity.
Should the page be updated for "Cohozuna" to be shown as a collective term for a type of Salmonid like "Chum", and "Steelhead", or should it stay how it is? I'd say that it should change. -Gulliblepikmin
@Gulliblepikmin I'd say it should be a collective term, but you can always ask a staff! I'd say that you should probably make entirely sure. Good question though! Thanks! ArivakiVA talk October 25 2022, 20:12 (UTC)

- After reading this, there came a realization that maybe there could be multiple Cohozunas, but they sleep, and one comes out taking turn?
- I don't think it is canon but would really hope for this in a future update. ChromeWolf (talk) 12:23, 26 October 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry to burst your bubble Platelet✨, but there's nothing to support anything like that. King Salmonids are called Boss Salmonids in japan and Salmonids are stated to be a tribal species. There's no evidence to support that the Salmonids have a hive or monarchy based system for anything.
- Also, because near everything in the Splatoon video game series is canon to the Splatoon world (sorry textboxes, I doubt you actually exist in canon!), the whole being able to kill multiple of the same King Salmonid is also almost certainly in that category considering the patch notes.
- You play too much Splatoon, and eventually you become a Splatoon lore nutcase like me. -Gulliblepikmin
